Scuba Rangers
Scuba Rangers is a course designed to teach children of 8—11 years the skills of Scuba Diving.
The use of easy reference cartoon characters and the Scuba Ranger Star of learning promotes the correct use of Skills, Knowledge, Equipment, Comfort, Confidence and Responsibility. These are reinforced with each classroom session and the Scuba Ranger Pledge. The children are introduced to the specialist equipment required and how to use it underwater in the confined pool sessions throughout the week.
It is a five day course which provides each child with the course materials; a colorful Dive Log and Manual to see them through their dives to DEMO day. This finale is the opportunity to
demonstrate the skills learnt and accesses the first accolade of achievement in
becoming a qualified Scuba Ranger. We then invite each ranger to participate further ‘Bubble Sessions’—a continued confined activity conducted as with the course in our indoor heated swimming pool where more education and fun events developing the child's confidence. The idea is for each child to be able to familiarise enrolling an interest to retain their knowledge and understanding
required for each to access the Junior Open Water Diver Course from the ages of
12years.
Snorkel Safari in association with SSI provide the equipment and environment with the learning tools within the
company of qualified, trained Scuba Ranger Instructors.
