The Advanced Adventurer course is the second level qualification in the international system of Scuba certifications, and follows the Open Water Diver qualification. At the Open Water Diver level, divers gain basic knowledge of skills, equipment and theory to safely explore the underwater realm to a depth of about 18 meters (60 ft). The Advanced Adventurer course focuses on refining these skills and allowing the diver to
explore a broader variety of diving to a maximum of 30 meters (100 ft) deep. The course contains some mandatory dives and knowledge, whilst another portion of the course consists of elective topics such as; drift diving, deep diving, navigation, and fish identification, Waves Tides & Currents.
